The autumn months are always a very important time for us and no more so than this year, especially for our Quality Manager, Karl Shilton. You see, for Karl, autumn is all about the Auditor Visits! And one in particular is our annual BRCGS audit.
The audit this year was going to be especially testing, given the strict rules and guidelines in place as part of the pandemic measures, but also because the standard itself was undergoing a few substantial changes of its own.
Having already done the double back in August this year when we achieved top marks and passed our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Accreditation and ISO 17712:2013 Security Labels Accreditation audits with flying colours, we can now proudly announce that we’ve only gone and done it again!
We have achieved an “A” Grade Accreditation for the latest BRCGS Issue 6 Packaging Materials from the world-renowned global brand that is BRCGS. This is no mean feat transitioning from BRC Issue 5 Packaging & Packaging Materials. This is a strong step forward for Mercian and the Quality Standard held by Mercian Labels.
Award winning Mercian Labels excels in all the latest standards as well as exhibiting world class manufacturing and quality management processes.
So, if you are looking to work with a world class label printer that can demonstrate all the following and more – Look no further!
- True commitment to its Quality Management Systems (ISO9001)
- The highest standards in safety and quality of food packaging (BRCGS ‘A’ grade)
- The ultimate in security certification (ISO17712- we are the only Tamper Evident Product Manufacturer in the World to be accredited for its LabelLock® brand of security labels to this standard).
