Graphic and Product Designers could do a lot worse than consider some of the suggestions in this excellent infographic on the Psychology of Colours.

So, taking for example our logo…

…apparently the blue colour in our logo is a sign of being productive, and black indicates luxury and a feeling of sophistication.  Well we won’t argue with that!
