One of the long standing problems for brand owners is to colour match their digitally printed labels to other packaging.  The more you get into colour matching different types of print and packaging the more complex it gets!  We have been working with Xeikon for some time on a new colour matching system to enable us to better match existing colours, many of which are from different processes and not strict pantone colours, to a digitally printed label.

We have recently commissioned our Xeikon Colour Control (XCC – [american spelling BTW]) which allows us to measure the colour profile of any object and using clever software match it to the best possible colour on the digital labelling press.

We will be making a more comprehensive announcement shortly, but this photo shows is one of the early results where we have easily matched a litho printed carton and an injection moulded plastic lid to digitally printed labelstock.  Impressed?  We are!
